Searching for Deeper Spirituality

In todays busy world, where there is constant noise and distraction it is sometimes hard to take time for God.  Maybe you struggle like many people do to take time out of your very busy life.  But we are spiritual beings and we crave that God connection.

Here you will find different voices, and different ideas on feeding that craving for a deeper connection.

  • Breathe, when you find yourself stressed and hurried take a moment to breathe in and out slowly. Think of the goodness God is filling you with as you slowly drink in those few calming moments.

  • Prayer, does not have to be some specific verse recited from memory. Take a moment to speak to God just like you are sitting with a good friend. God is always there.
  • Inspiration, what helps you move ahead when you are stressed or overwhelmed?  Inspiration can be found in many ways, but also in scripture a.k.a. the Bible.  Try searching the web for Inspirational Bible Verses.  Maybe you will hear the words of wisdom you need.  For example:

"Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? As it is written,

'For your sake we are being killed all the day long;
    we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.'

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord"  Romans 8:35-39

or maybe this speaks to you

"Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.  For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.  So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal."  2 Corinthians 4:16-18
